GOLD COAST, AUSTRALIA, February 18, 2011 (Press-News.org) Rock'n'roll royalty Motorhead are coming to the Gold Coast for the only Queensland show on their 2011 Australian tour.

The band have celebrated their 35th anniversary with the release of new album The World is Yours and fans can expect to hear material from the LP at the Gold Coast gig.

They will take the stage at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre's Main Arena on April 1st. It will be one of only four performances in Australia this year, with the others taking place in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide.

Since their eponymous debut launched back in 1977, Motorhead have released 28 records. They are best known for rip-roaring track Ace of Spades, which appeared on the 1980 album of the same name.

In a statement, Grohl said: "Lemmy is a God. He is the reason. He is the last man standing and no one comes close."
