CARY, NC, February 18, 2011 (Press-News.org) A team representing Cary Magazine took home top honors for "Best Printed Collateral for an Event" at the annual awards banquet for the Triangle, N.C., Chapter of the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE), held Feb. 9 at the Raleigh Convention Center. The annual Triangle NACE Awards honor members' highest achievements and outstanding contributions to the catering profession. This year's nominations were judged by the Washington, D.C., Chapter of NACE.
Cary Magazine's winning entry was a vendor invitation and sponsorship prospectus for its Fourth Annual Elegant Weddings Gala. To promote exhibitor and sponsorship opportunities for this upscale wedding show, Cary Magazine Lead Graphic Designer Emily Uhland created a custom-made, elegant black and white pocket invitation resembling a formal invitation. One side had the ceremonial invite while the pocket contained information about sponsorship opportunities, a map of vendor spaces and schematic of the ballroom event space, information about the target audience, expectations of vendors, and an RSVP reply card.
The Elegant Weddings Gala on March 4, 2010, at the Umstead Hotel in Cary sold out its allotment of vendor spaces and attracted more than 300 brides, grooms, family and friends.
"Emily Uhland and Events Manager Julia Collins worked hard to make sure the collateral was top notch and communicated effectively," said Cary Magazine Editor Danielle Stanfield. "This was a very competitive category, and I'm glad our team got the recognition they deserve for their original and creative collateral."
Cary Magazine has been a member of Triangle NACE for four years and enjoys the support of fellow members for its annual Elegant Weddings Gala. Triangle NACE has around 130 members, including top wedding planners, venues, bakeries, photographers, disc jockeys and more. For more information, visit http://www.trianglenace.com.

For years, the world's leading investors have been attracted to physical commodities such as gold, silver, platinum, and palladium as a way to hedge and protect the value of their investments. That is because unlike stocks, bonds, and future-based commodities that can provide high but often unpredictable returns, gold and silver tends to hold its value, offering returns that are mostly in-line with the current price of the raw material. However, when people choose to invest on their own, many are unaware of the benefits of physical commodities, or make the decision to buy ...
