CANTON, GA, February 18, 2011 (Press-News.org) Never one to shy away from a challenge, current IBF Southern Regional welterweight champion, Paul Delgado will step up in competition and travel to Ljubljana to take on IBF welterweight champion Jan Zaveck. With Zaveck a heavy favorite on most books, Delgado will have to overcome both the unfamiliar surroundings and the underdog label to seize a victory on February 18, 2011. A situation the Atlanta resident Delgado does not take lightly.
"I relish these opportunities, and I know they do not come around every day. Zaveck is a tough opponent, and his record (30-1-1) speaks for itself. That being said, I feel good about my chances. I have a top notch training staff, and I've prepared both mentally and physically for quite some time to compete at this level. I'm going to give my fans my best performance so far, and I appreciate StratisCom for showing their support. They've been a great partner," says Delgado.
