2011-02-20
SUNNYVALE, CA, February 20, 2011 (Press-News.org) Sunnyvale has always offered gorgeous natural surroundings and a vibrant, thriving community to residents. A new neighborhood has just started construction in Sunnyvale off East Duane and De Guigne Avenues. Fusion is a new home community of 228 townhomes by O'Brien Homes that will be available for sale this spring.

Designed to provide a retreat from busy lifestyles, Fusion townhomes will feature smart floor plans, green features and attractive architecture with prices from the mid $400,000s. Fusion has seven different floor plans with two to four bedrooms, ranging in size from approximately 1,215 to 1,879 square feet of living space. Various home styles will be available, including flats, carriage homes and traditional townhomes. All homes will offer attached two-car garages. With Contemporary and Spanish Eclectic-influenced architecture plus a comprehensive selection of interior features, homebuyers will find the best new home value in Sunnyvale at Fusion.

When completed, Fusion will include five unique districts, each designed to feature a distinctive landscaping theme or amenity. Landscape architect Annika Carpenter of Ripley Design Group described the concept as "a really wonderful way to create individuality and texture, resulting in the neighborhoods each having an interesting defining character and feel. It is a very fresh and innovative approach."

Ideally located close to major freeways and employers, Fusion allows residents to enjoy all the conveniences of the Silicon Valley while offering an array of community amenities that make it unique in the area. With a premium fitness center, Wi-Fi lounge, 12-seat private theater and outdoor fire pit, residents can gather with friends, mingle with neighbors and work out without getting in their cars. Fusion will also offer a playground for toddlers and a putting green.

Additionally, Fusion residents will enjoy close proximity to the revitalized downtown Sunnyvale, fine dining, shopping and recreation destinations, including 18 prize-winning parks. According to John Pilger, City of Sunnyvale spokesperson, "This is an exciting time in Sunnyvale. As businesses expand into Sunnyvale, there are new jobs and new housing opportunities. Historic Murphy Avenue, home to many restaurants and stores, received a new streetscape in 2010. In addition to Historic Murphy Avenue, Sunnyvale Town Center is being rebuilt and features Macy's and a new Target. The master plan calls for development of shops, restaurants and a 14-screen movie theater."
