HIA-LI to Present 16th Annual Business Achievement Awards; NYS Senator Brian X. Foley to Conduct Business Owner Roundtable Before Event; Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy to Provide Opening Remarks

HAUPPAUGE, NY, September 07, 2010 (Press-News.org) HIA-LI, the recognized voice for business on Long Island, is inviting the Long Island business community to join finalists, winners and other outstanding Long Island businesses at the HIA-LI 16th Annual Business Achievement Awards gala luncheon event at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, NY, 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM on Tuesday, September 14th. A representative for each of the winning companies will be presented with an engraved plaque bearing their company name and the HIA-LI logo. Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy will provide opening remarks to an expected crowd of over 400 prestigious businesspersons and government officials. Business Owner and Executive Roundtable
The luncheon will be preceded by a business owner and executive roundtable, hosted by NYS Senator Brian X. Foley, which will include current and previous winners of the HIA-LI Annual Business Achievement Awards. Participants will share an open exchange of ideas and challenges faced operating a business today.

A special host will greet business leaders from all across the Island, making the HIA-LI Business Achievement Awards event one of the best regional venues for conducting business and building relationships.

Winners of the HIA-LI's 16th Annual Business Achievement Awards for 2010 who will be honored at the September 14 luncheon are:
- Large Business--The Tiffen Company, a Long Island-based leading manufacturer and distributor of award winning accessories for the still imaging, motion picture and broadcast markets.
- Small Business--Irwin Contracting Inc., a family-operated business serving the construction needs of the New York metropolitan area.
