Raising the Re-Roof with Cincinnati Commercial Contracting: Re-Roof Solutions renovates, regenerates, rejuvenates, renews and restores that metal roof - with 25-year guarantee

New facilities are not always in the cards. Cincinnati Commercial Contracting offers affordable Re-Roof Solutions, with energy savings. Manufactured by Butler Manufacturing, 2 billion SF have been installed worldwide.

2010-09-07
FORT THOMAS, KY, September 07, 2010 (Press-News.org) Joe Rohs knew the project was tough, the expectations immense, and the timeline difficult.

Heading into the winter months of last year, the chief financial officer at OKI Bering, one of the world's largest independent distributors of welding, safety and industrial products, had enough with all the troublesome puddles he was seeing in the warehouse.

Rohs' biggest concern: the roof atop the sprawling, 200,000-square-foot building along Princeton-Glendale Road.

"At the time we bought the building, we did get it for a good price, because we knew it needed a new roof. It was leaking all over the place," said Rohs. "We knew we had taken a calculated gamble, and it had worked out somewhat for three years. We were figuring we could Band-Aid it for at least a few more years, and save some money in the process, by delaying what turned out to be the inevitable."

The options for OKI Bering were not infinite: the company could buy a new roof; relocate to another facility; or continue to apply temporary fixes to what was increasingly shaping up to be a long-term issue.

Re-Roof is the best long-term solution for economics and use

That's when Rohs was introduced to John Westheimer and Nick Eveland, leaders in Re-Roof Solutions at Cincinnati Commercial Contracting (CCC). Soon thereafter, OKI Bering made a decision to work with CCC and install the best and most economical long-term term solution for a new roof: the metal-on-metal standard by Butler Manufacturing.

"Like most of the companies we talk to, if not all, price is a principal concern. Aesthetics are important, but the most pressing issue that OKI was looking at was they couldn't just shut down because their roof was leaking," said Westheimer, president and owner of CCC. Eveland is his Re-Roof Specialist.

"Life has to go on. We were able to complete a Butler metal-on-metal roof in about six weeks, right before winter, and they didn't miss a single day to downtime," Westheimer said.

Benefits of the Re-Roof Solution by CCC

The benefits of the Re-Roof Solution offered by CCC are numerous:

- Enhanced energy efficiency through roof life cycle, with some lasting over 40 years;

- Companies receive a 25-year labor and materials warranty;

- No interruption in existing business work flow and operations;

- Virtually no maintenance required;

- Experienced, factory-trained installers are re-certified annually;

- Non-perforated design means the current roof does not have to be torn off.

Clients who choose the Re-Roof Solution at CCC have selected a company with three decades of local experience in development, construction and general contracting. Clients also benefit from the expertise and experience of the 109-year-old manufacturer, Butler Manufacturing of St. Louis. Founded in 1901, Butler operates manufacturing, engineering and service centers across the U.S. and internationally, selling products through a network of independent dealers (Butler Builders).

Butler began installing metal roofs in 1969. Currently, there is an estimated two billion square feet of metal roof solutions in place.

"There are many reasons to install the Re-Roof, but perhaps the most important element is the flexibility factor," Westheimer said. "We have clients who are considering an array of options when they realize their existing facility may have an issue with its roof, or a facility that they are considering buying has a problem with its roof. Nobody is going to sign a long-term lease at a place where they know the roof leaks."

"Here's the deal: whether your are building a completely new roof, or you have chosen to take the re-roofing route, the Re-Roof Solution is flexible enough to fit your building's needs," added Eveland. "Same goes for a replacement roof. All of the advantages are in favor of the Re-Roof: design flexibility, consistent quality, speed of construction and predictability of costs and completion schedules."

"The OKI Bering building is over 30 years-old, and had caused us ongoing headaches because of our tenants' concerns with leaking. Re-Roof Solutions by CCC installed a roof that was leak-free, and did so in a way that was courteous and professional, accommodating all ongoing business operations," said building manager Len Murray, President of Murray Realtor Associates Inc.

"CCC's performance exceeded all expectations," said Rohs, with OKI Bering. "What's more, our employees were pleasantly surprised to find a much more comfortable work environment. We attribute that to the additional insulation that was installed, and the first-rate worksmanship that was part of the new roof assembly."

What if stress, anxiety, and panic attacks are our body's way of signaling us to slow down and pay closer attention to our experience? This may sound easy enough to do, but from Eastwood's perspective unfortunately, it is not. "By the time most of us have reached adulthood, ...
