Local Fitness Professional Jason Yun Chosen as First Franchisee For Athletic Revolution in the Columbus area, New Youth Fitness Franchise

COLUMBUS, OH, March 01, 2011 (Press-News.org) New youth fitness and athletic development franchise Athletic Revolution recently announced Jason Yun of Columbus as their first franchisee.

Yun said "Childhood obesity has reached epidemic proportions with factors such as fast food, computers, TV, video games, etc. all contributing to the problem. Over 50% of our children are overweight and almost 20% are obese. We're elated to begin offering the Athletic Revolution youth fitness program to help combat this problem and to introduce kids ages 6-18 into a healthy fitness lifestyle in a safe, fun, non-intimidating format."

Yun says that providing youth fitness programming is a natural extension of their commitment to the community.

"We have always been committed to offering quality programs and services to our community, so offering this much needed program was a no-brainer. It's sad to see how many unhealthy kids there are out there. The vast majority of kids today have sedentary lifestyles even if they are participating in sports activities. Our programs are designed with safety and fun in mind; if it's not fun, kids are not going to stick with it."

"The Athletic Revolution training system has been developed in conjunction with the world's leading youth fitness organization, the International Youth Conditioning Association, and will be delivered by certified fitness professionals who will help motivate and inspire the kids. Our facility will officially be opening in the spring and we will be holding an open house to let the community discover what Athletic Revolution is all about."

In addition to general youth fitness and wellness programs, Athletic Revolution will also be offering world-class and state-of-the-art sports performance training programs for young athletes in all sports within the Columbus area utilizing the IYCA-based training system.

Brian Grasso, CEO of the International Youth Conditioning Association, and Dr. Toby Brooks, Professor at Texas Tech University, have combined to train more than 25,000 young athletes worldwide including New Zealand, Canada, Austrailia, Europe and throughout the United States.

Grasso and Brooks joined forces to create the one-of-a-kind sports performance program.
