Denver Style Expo launches with three local Reality TV stars

Mondo Guerra (Project Runway), Charlie Price (Shear Genius) and Nina Flowers (Ru Paul's Drag Race) will headline the first annual Denver Style Expo April 1 - 2 at the Denver Merchandise Mart. The event, hosted by Dana Cain Events, will be the largest public event ever to highlight Denver's local fashion, design, style and beauty scene.

Hourly runway shows, themed makeover stations and free workshops will compliment the 100+ exhibitor and vendor booths at the Expo, And the Denver Style Awards will be presented on opening night - honoring designers, stylists, shops and more, from Denver and the surrounding region.

"Denver's style and fashion scene is exploding," says organizer Dana Cain. "We have some of the best designers and stylists in the nation. The Denver Style Expo will celebrate and honor all of the amazing fashion and style talent we have here. We're gearing it toward a large audience, too. We want the general public to come see what Denver has to offer. There will be something for everyone here."

The main emphasis, as with most of Dana Cain's events, is fun. Exhibitors and events will include outrageous looks - from Gimme Gimme Pillow Toast's "Extreme Japanese Street Fashion" to Drag Queen contests and more.

"Fashion can be outrageously fun," says Cain. "We'll balance it out with some serious jaw-dropping high fashion and elegance. But who doesn't love the wild and crazy stuff, too?"

Project Runway finalist Mondo Guerra will be at the Expo Saturday evening, April 2, meeting fans, selling original designs and participating in the Denver Top 10 Fashion Show at 7pm. Guerra will be showing his entire new collection, just back from LA Fashion Week. This will be the first time Mondo has shown a collection in Denver since 2003.

He will also serve as a judge for the Denver Style Awards.

Internationally recognized hair stylist Charlie Price will be at the Expo Friday and Saturday, hosting a booth and judging the Denver Style Awards. Price a finalist on Bravo's Shear Genius, will host his own Runway show at the Expo, and participate in the Denver Top 10 Fashion Show.

Nina Flowers, a finalist on Ru Paul's Drag Race, will be at the Denver Style Expo Friday evening, judging and presenting the Denver Style Awards, and DJing the evening's music.

There will also be plenty of chances for public interaction at the event - from voting on the Denver Style Awards - People's Choice awards, to attending workshops, to getting makeovers and more.
