Exceptional IT Facilitates SKEMA Business School Launch at NCSU

Firm provided ground up technology infrastructure for Centennial Campus location

2011-03-03
CARY, NC, March 03, 2011 (Press-News.org) Exceptional IT Services, an IT services firm serving the greater Triangle area, has completed a large-scale IT implementation for SKEMA Business School. The firm provided ground up technology infrastructure and project management for their North American location at North Carolina State University's Centennial Campus.

Working in close collaboration with the design architect, building management, construction team and European SKEMA staff, Exceptional IT crafted a solution that integrates the NCSU campus with other SKEMA facilities in Europe and China. The Exceptional IT team designed, sourced, and implemented a strategic plan for the 30,000 square foot facility which included data and voice network infrastructure, enterprise-class servers, secure Wi-Fi, touchscreen systems, a 40-seat computer lab, telephone, audited printing, and security systems. Through superior project and vendor management, the job was completed in just three months. The campus was open on time to welcome the first group of 300 students arriving for the spring semester. Exceptional IT is also providing ongoing IT systems support to the school.

"We were honored to be selected by SKEMA to assist in launching their first location in the United States," said Exceptional IT Chief Technical Officer Jim Rappl. "This was a sophisticated project with a tight deadline and our technical staff went above and beyond to ensure the SKEMA campus was fully functional and ready to welcome students on day one."
"Exceptional IT proved to be a reliable and technically knowledgeable partner at our NCSU site," said Pascal Vidal, SKEMA campus director. "Their project management skills were invaluable as we built and integrated this location in to our existing cutting-edge international business school."
