GREAT NECK, NY, March 03, 2011 (Press-News.org) The United States has plunged headfirst into a drive to make electronic healthcare records the norm in the medical field, including $19 billion in government ARRA funds and $21 billion from Medicare, Medicaid and other government programs as incentive payments to healthcare providers who put EMR/EHR systems to meaningful use over the next four years. "The driving force is cost, but the greatest benefits are superior patient care and a better quality of life for doctors and their office staffs; which are easily achieved with our affordable, fully certified, intuitive EHR system," says Mitchell C. Shapiro, president and chairman of Universal EHR Solutions (UniEHR).
"Ten percent of the doctors who registered to receive ARRA incentive payments during the first week of January, when the program officially began, were UniEHR clients," said Shapiro. "Keeping our growing client base informed of developments in the field will become more challenging as the government programs and initiatives develop."
To complement its e-newsletter, UniEHR has launched two social networking sites to help healthcare and IT professionals keep up with the changing landscape and to follow developments. "Most physicians operate in small practices rather than large healthcare networks," adds Aaron Wachspress, UniEHR founder and chief technology officer. "That, along with the bad experiences many first adopters had with our large competitors' expensive, non-intuitive EMR systems, are the prime reasons why fewer than one in six doctors have installed electronic records solutions in their offices and clinics. It was the driving force behind the creation of Physician's Solution in 2002."
Shapiro says the estimate of 16 percent actually overstates how many are actually putting an advanced, efficient EHR system to meaningful use. "We needed a better way to get the word out about Physician's Solution, and how we are different that most other EHR companies and products," he says. "It was gratifying to see the positive reaction to Physician's Solution 5.0 by the people at HIMSS11 in Orlando last week. Many with years of experience in the industry expressed their surprise to finally see an intuitive, user friendly, fully customizable, fully certified EHR system with so many advanced features at an affordable, all inclusive price. A number of them called Physician's Solution the best kept secret in the EHR market."
UniEHR's Facebook and Linkedin pages are resources for learning more about electronic healthcare records and the company's custom software solutions, including Physician's Solution, a software system that was Designed FOR Doctors BY Doctors and has been helping doctors deliver superior patient care and operate more efficient and profitable medical practices since 2002.
UniEHR also offers Physician's Portal message and data sharing, Patient Direct , Doctor Direct , and MedRecordsAlert . Hospital's Solution is a complete package for control of all components of a complex, multi-layered healthcare enterprise.
UniEHR launched its Linkedin and Facebook pages last week in conjunction with its attendance at the HIMSS11 conference. "Thanks to the great work of our social networking team at Rural America Onshore Outsourcing, we had hundreds of HIMSS attendees seeking information. The advanced features of Physician's Solution will no longer be the best kept secret in the EHR industry," Shapiro said,
