LONDON, ENGLAND, March 04, 2011

The iPad 2 is due to be released next month and gadget-lovers will no doubt be looking for no checks payday loans, or better still unsecured loans, to stay up to date with the latest technology.

According to the latest worldwide media tablet and e-reader tracker from IDC, handheld devices such as these have seen unprecedented growth over the last few months.

The e-reader market grew by 40 per cent in the third quarter of 2010, with IDC predicting that 10.8 million units would be shipped worldwide during the year.

Meanwhile, media reader shipments grew by 45.1 per cent, with the iPad coming out as the clear customer favourite with nearly 90 per cent of the market share.

This taste for gadgets and keeping up with the most exciting technological developments could be paid for in part through instant payday loans or guaranteed unsecured loans.

Dan Grabham, deputy editor of consumer technology website TechRadar.com, said the e-reader market in the UK is not quite as large as in the US, but this is because many people already have smartphones.

He added: "Certainly the second generation iPad, which will be released next month, will really lay down the gauntlet to rivals.

"We're quite optimistic about some of the tablets - the Blackberry Playbook looks pretty good and also the Motorola Xoom."

Devices like this don't come cheap, however, and many people will be seeking out UK payday loans or getting a better deal with home loans to be able to afford the tablet computers that have become essential to many people's everyday lives.

Mr Grabham continued: "I don't necessarily think they will topple the iPad in terms of numbers, but they could certainly all have a share of the market. There's still plenty of room for other players - Apple have had it good so far."
