ATLANTA, GA, March 04, 2011 (Press-News.org) Breensmith Advertising jumped up and surprised most of the larger ad agencies in Atlanta by winning 10 awards (2 Gold, 5 Silver, and 3 Bronze) at the Atlanta ADDY Awards - the advertising industry's largest competition, recognizing and rewarding creative excellence in the art of advertising.
The six-person independent ad agency finished 4th among all entrants, behind only much larger agencies, BBDO Atlanta, Fitzgerald + Co, and Brunner.
Work for The Weather Channel led the way with 5 total honors, including 2 Gold and 3 Silver. In all, breensmith won 5 ADDYs in the Interactive category as well as taking home a Silver ADDY in the Integrated category for its client, Operation Boot Camp and a Silver ADDY for its point-of-purchase work for Fado Irish Pub.
"It's kind of fun seeing our work up there with BBDO. I think their craft services budgets were bigger than our photography budgets. But that's what's fun about being the little guy. You find ways to get things done. One day, we aspire to have a crafts services budget. It's all relative," remarked agency CD, Chris Breen.
