CHARLOTTE, NC, September 08, 2010 (Press-News.org) Tropical Foods, a food manufacturer that specializes in raw and roasted nuts, dried fruit and snack mixes, honored their top sales and marketing team members at the National Conference last month.
Major awards given out include Territory Manager of the Year, which was awarded to Gar Perkins of the Atlanta Office and Sales Associate of the Year, awarded to Jodie Griffin, of the Atlanta Office. Tropical Foods Operating Center of the Year went to Dallas and GM-Terry Awalt.
Founder Jerry York opened the first Tropical Foods office in 1977 in Charlotte, NC. Tropical's production plant in Charlotte roasts nuts & seeds daily and blends bulk snack mixes. In addition to the corporate facility in Charlotte, Tropical has sales office/distribution centers in Atlanta, Dallas, Memphis and Washington DC. These locations are supplied each week with truckloads of product from the Charlotte facility.
"It's great to be able to get the entire team together and celebrate the success of Tropical Foods. The National Conference allows us the chance to discuss the company's goals, successes and lessons learned from the past year," said Chad Hartman, Brand Manager for Tropical Foods.
Tropical Foods Rookie of the Year was awarded to Alison Keever of the Charlotte Office. Treasure Chest Winners were Darren Brooks & Bill Davis Jr, of the Charlotte Office.
