A performance by tribute band SAD will be the climax of a Metallica appreciation night in Milan, celebrating 30 years since the iconic group got together.

MILAN, ITALY, March 09, 2011 (Press-News.org) A celebration of heavy metal band Metallica will take place in Milan this month, with tribute act SAD headlining the night.

The event has been organised by the Italian fan club Zona Metallica to mark 30 years since the group was established in Los Angeles.

Led by James Hetfield, the band have sold more than 100 million records worldwide during their long career, appealing to a wide variety of ages and tastes as they evolved.

Fans in Milan will gather on March 26th 2011 at the Discoteca Alcatraz to celebrate the rich back catalogue of hits Metallica have produced, such as Enter Sandman, Master of Puppets and Unforgiven.

In addition to a selection of cover songs by SAD, visitors can enjoy support act Riff Raff, who are an AC/DC tribute group.

After the live music has died down, attendees can dance the night away until 04:00 local time to a selection of tunes chosen by resident DJs Gaucho, Steve and Gary.

Doors open at 22:00, with the entrance price starting from EUR6 (GBP5.10).
