Lax was named as the "Detroit Area Best Lawyers Employee Benefits Lawyer of the Year" for 2011

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI, March 09, 2011 (Press-News.org) Charles (Chuck) M. Lax, a shareholder at Southfield-based Maddin, Hauser, Wartell, Roth & Heller P.C., has been featured in an article in the Detroit Legal News and Oakland County Legal News highlighting a recent honor.

Lax was acknowledged by peer review publication, Best Lawyers, as the "Detroit Area Best Lawyers Employee Benefits Lawyer of the Year" for 2011. Only one lawyer in each specialty, in each community, was declared a "Lawyer of the Year."

In the January 4, 2011 article, "Annual review brings accolades," writer Paul Janczewski highlighted how Lax began working in the industry four decades ago. Additionally, he addressed how Lax has grown to receive numerous awards and coveted chair positions, including as the co-chair for the 2010 and 2011 American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) annual conference.

Lax is a 1971 graduate of the University of Michigan School of Law. A resident of West Bloomfield, Michigan, he focuses his practice on the areas of employee benefits, taxation, corporate law and mergers and acquisitions.
