ContainerAuction.com introduces a 'Buy Now' function for their container trading platform. Container sellers now have the option of pricing containers for a quick sale, as well as a full auction.

ContainerAuction.com is pleased to announce the integration of the 'Buy Now' option for quick shipping container sales. Along with the traditional auction format, sellers now have the option of providing a 'Buy Now' price that allows buyers to instantly purchase the listing without having to waiting for the listing to expire naturally. Whether you're a shipping line, leasing company, or trader, you're able to take advantage of this and the other unique features integrated into the auction platform.How the 'Buy Now' feature works is really quite simple: When a seller creates a new listing, they have the option of providing a 'Buy Now' price. This price must be higher than the reserve price that the listing is set to start at, and when the listing becomes active both options are presented to potential buyers. If the 'Buy Now' price is acceptable to a motivated buyer, that buyer can quickly purchase the container listing and it is instantly removed from the auction. At this time, they buyer is emailed payment instructions and the seller is notified of the sale. Alternatively, as soon as the first bid is registered the 'Buy Now' feature is removed and the listing turns into a conventional auction.
Along with the 'Buy Now' option, all approved sellers are given full access to the other features in the platform.
