The fun begins at the bookfair where there will be a special area where teens can meet over thirty of the hottest young adult (YA) authors in the business, including Melissa Marr, Cassandra Clare, Kelley Armstrong, Ally Carter, Melissa de la Cruz, Alyson Noel and Richelle Mead.
Then it's on to the workshops and parties! Fans will participate in speed-dating with the authors, or be entertained as YA authors speed-read excerpts from their popular novels. Budding writers will learn how to build a fictional world as authors walk them through the writing process--complete with drawings, monologues, re-enactments and pantomime!
Besides pumping millions of dollars into the local economy, the RT BOOKLOVERS' Convention also believes in giving back to the community by donating books to support literacy, hosting a blood drive on Friday during our E-Book and Graphic Novel Expo, and accepting canned goods on behalf of the FoodBank of Southern California on Saturday at our Book Fair Extravaganza.

Theologian and author Dr. Paul Enns has considered the famous axiom, "Don't be so heavenly minded that you're no earthly good" ... and found it wanting. "I've reflected on it.
