LOGAN, UT, August 13, 2010 (Press-News.org) Ingeo Systems, Inc., the nation's number one provider of electronic document recording technology, is the first nationwide e-recording provider to submit electronic real estate documents into the California e-Recording Transaction Network Authority (CeRTNA). "Ingeo is our first provider to bring our member counties submissions from across the nation," said Patrick Honny, CeRTNA's executive director. "Our first counties, Fresno and Kern, began recording documents from Ingeo's submitters in July and immediately we saw the efficiencies and savings in costs and time resulting from CeRTNA's partnership with Ingeo."
CeRTNA was formed in 2007 to work with state legislators and consultants to set up rules and regulations for e-recording in California. At the same time, the entity was working with vendors to create and manage an e-recording system. "We have been working with Ingeo from the beginning because the company has a long history in California," Honny said. Ingeo was in the forefront of the pilot programs in San Bernardino and Orange Counties in the late '90s. "The company actually helped to shape California's ERDS legislation, which was adopted in 2004, and worked with us on the rules and regulations that took almost three years to be drafted and passed as legislation," he said.
Karl Klessig, Ingeo's CEO said that the integration of Ingeo's Electronic Document Recording System with CeRTNA opens California counties to the many benefits of e-recording. "This collaborative effort brings CeRTNA's counties the most advanced and secure electronic document recording capability in the country," he said. "With this implementation, CeRTNA's counties will realize tremendous savings in time and costs. The recordation of real estate documents that used to take days and weeks with paper is now done electronically in seconds."
With the CeRTNA portal, Fresno and Kern Counties are live now and El Dorado, Merced, Monterey, San Bernardino, San Joaquin, Santa Clara and Santa Cruz Counties will follow soon. "One big reason the Ingeo partnership is important to us," Honny said, "is because every CeRTNA County that goes live has immediate electronic recordation volume and starts to see payback on their technology investment." He also pointed out that with Ingeo, "Basically, as soon as we turn on a county, they have documents."
Ingeo is the country's largest e-recording service covering a nationwide network of 350 counties. Ingeo also services most of the national submitters, including eight of the top ten and the majority of the top 30 lending institutions in the U.S. This is in addition to regional and local submitters in counties where Ingeo has county recording available. Ingeo also has alliances with 25 business partners on the submitting side. Ingeo's Electronic Document Recording System reduces processing costs and time while improving data accuracy. Ingeo's e-recoding solution uses open platform technologies, providing flexibility in integration with existing solutions while allowing users to capitalize on previous investments in technology. When fully integrated, the electronic document recording process takes only seconds.
As a leader in the electronic document industry, Ingeo Systems, Inc. helps businesses and government agencies increase efficiency by providing secure electronic document recording solutions. Ingeo's services currently enable the preparation, execution, management, validation, payment and recording of electronic documents and transactions, facilitating the automation of many repetitive, paper-based processes, saving both time and money for submitting and recording organizations. The California Electronic Recording Transaction Network Authority (CeRTNA) is a California Joint Powers Authority (JPA) established in 2007 to work with member California counties to jointly develop, implement, and support a California Department of Justice compliant Electronic Recording Delivery System (ERDS). Headquartered in San Bernardino, CA, CeRTNA was the first ERDS to be certified in California to deliver and return digital and digitized images for electronic recordation within its member counties. Since going live in 2009, CeRTNA's vision of a single, standards-based, secure electronic recording delivery solution has helped document submitters and County Recorder offices to increase customer service levels, improve business process efficiencies, and reduce costs.
