LateRooms.com - Paul Heaton Set for Norfolk Gig

Former Beautiful South singer Paul Heaton is heading to Norfolk next month.

2011-03-16
NORFOLK, ENGLAND, March 16, 2011 (Press-News.org) Paul Heaton will play live at the Norwich Arts Centre on Sunday April 3rd.

Although best known to many music fans as the former leader of The Housemartins and The Beautiful South, Heaton now has three solo albums to his name.

His latest effort Acid Country was released in September last year and saw the musician deploy an unusual touring method, as he cycled to 16 pubs around England to perform tracks from the LP.

Heaton is now back on the road again, accompanied by guitar player Jonny Lexus, bassist Jonny Wright and Pete Marshall on drums.

Fans of the 48-year-old singer will no doubt be hoping to hear classic tracks from his back catalogue, as well as his recent solo material.

Heaton's hits with The Beautiful South include A Little Time, Song For Whoever, Rotterdam and Perfect 10.

The Housemartins reached number one in 1986 with Caravan of Love, a cover of an R'n'B hit from the previous year by Isley-Jasper-Isley.

Tickets for the Norwich gig are priced at GBP16.50 in advance and doors will open at 20:00 BST.

LateRooms.com features a range of Norfolk hotels that could appeal to concert-goers, including the George Hotel Norfolk.
