COLUMBUS, OH, March 18, 2011 (Press-News.org) Once reserved only for the rich and famous, a true Fashion Week experience is now open to travelers visiting Ohio's capital city. Experience Columbus has teamed up with the Columbus College of Art & Design (CCAD) and the Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel to offer a one-of-a-kind Fashionista Getaway Package.

CCAD, recently named one of the top 20 fashion design schools in the world, will host its annual Fashion Show on Friday May 13. Nearly two dozen up-and-coming design students will showcase their collections at the glitzy event, which is a perennial sellout. These wildly talented designers are at the top of their class and promise to put on a glamour-packed show.

The runway show serves as the centerpiece for the Fashionista Getaway Package. Travelers can book their package by calling (614) 228-5050 or online at http://bit.ly/6EJ1kI.

At just $319 for two guests, based on double occupancy, the package includes:
- Access for two to the Pre-Fashion Show Cocktail Party with two complimentary cocktails each
- Tickets to CCAD's celebrated Runway Show and Fashion Icon Award presentation
- Access to Apres-Runway Dance Party
- Accommodations at the fashionable Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel
- Special fashion "Swag" gift bag

Columbus has received international attention for its fashion and shopping scene and is home to international headquarters for some of the most significant players in retail fashion, including The Limited, Abercrombie & Fitch and Victoria's Secret.

The theme of this year's show is Masters of Design. From Betsy Johnson to Coco Chanel, these gifted student designers will base their entire collections on the work of an eminent designer who has inspired their work.

Columbus is a city unlike any other. Vibrant and alive, Ohio's capital city is known for its unique style: an uncommon blend of neighborhoods, events, attractions and accommodations. Free visitors guides, maps and complete information about visiting Columbus are available from Experience Columbus, the region's convention and visitors bureau, by calling (866) 397-2657 (1-866-EXP-COLS) or visiting www.ExperienceColumbus.com.
