Bitrix 2010 Sales Rise 42% with Intranet Sales Growth Doubling the CMS Result

One noticeable feature of 2010 was the massive growth in the market for intranet solutions. The sales growth of Bitrix Intranet outpaced that of Bitrix Site Manager by two times.

Steady growth in the partner network was also a theme throughout the year. Now Bitrix Partners number 5500 in over 30 countries. In 2010, Bitrix Site Manager, according to ratings by W3Techs, was the most popular commercial CMS system worldwide, and 13th among all CMS systems with 50,000+ installations worldwide. .

High-profile projects launched in 2010 using Bitrix include a portal for the Russian State Duma; Sochi2014 - the official Olympic website; and an intranet for MTS, a major wireless telecoms provider in Russia, among others.

Performance and security continued to be high priorities for Bitrix in 2010. The PRO+PRO security framework, present in every edition, makes the Bitrix platform one of the most secure on the market. Concerning performance, independent testing demonstrated a 430% improvement over the previous editions, and a completely revamped Bitrix Environment was introduced.

Updates in Bitrix:

* Bitrix Site Manager and Bitrix Intranet Portal moved through their 9.0 incarnations and onward to 9.5. Bitrix Site Manager ASP.NET also moved up 2 notches to 5.5.
* Technologically, 2010 brought the concept of Amber Ergonomics, a streamlined interface for content and site management that provides massive front-end editing and monitoring and extends to a 'personalizing' feature in the Control Panel. Both features are especially useful on mature sites, where maintaining relevance and paying attention to nuanced user behavior are key activities, but saving time is of the essence. This new concept, which combines technology and interface solutions, has been praised users and developers.
* The Bitrix Marketplace was also born in 2010. This is a catalog of third-party solutions developed for the Bitrix platform, including industry-specific solutions, templates, sites, services and additional modules, along with some great freebies.
* Several industry-specific solutions were introduced for Bitrix Site Manager, which now has a broad range of out-of-the-box functionality.

Furthermore, Bitrix made very significant inroads into the international market, more than doubling its activities outside of its home market of Russia, with the most significant advances being in Germany, the USA, Canada, Austria, Australia, the Netherlands, Latin America.
