DOYLESTOWN, PA, March 18, 2011 (Press-News.org) Jordan B. Yeager, an employment, land use and municipal law partner with Bucks County Regional law firm Curtin & Heefner LLP, will discuss the role of social media in litigation during a continuing legal education (CLE) program presented by the Bucks County Bar Association on April 12, 2011. The program, "Social Media and Litigation," will address the role that social media outlets such as Facebook and Twitter play in litigation, with a particular emphasis on employment law matters. Yeager, who will serve as part of a three-member panel at the CLE, will speak about best practices for employers and employees, as well as discovery issues and general litigation considerations as they relate to social media in litigation. "Social Media and Litigation" is scheduled from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Bucks County Bar Association building in Doylestown, Pa.
Yeager focuses his practice on employment, land use and municipal law as well as federal civil rights litigation. He has served as Solicitor and Special Counsel to municipal governments, with an emphasis on labor, employment, zoning, land use and civil rights litigation. He represents public and private sector employers and employees in all aspects of labor and employment law, including counseling, negotiations, arbitration, litigation, trials and appeals. Yeager also advises municipal governments, community associations, non-profits and individual property owners in connection with land use and environmental matters, including issues relating to gas drilling in the Marcellus Shale formation. Yeager litigates zoning, DEP permits, and environmental claims in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies. Prior to joining Curtin & Heefner, Yeager was in private practice with his own public interest law firm, Boockvar & Yeager.
Yeager has been a frequent lecturer on employment law, land use, and civil rights matters. He was recently appointed to serve on the Board of Directors of the Cornell Club of Greater Philadelphia and the Morrisville Borough Zoning Hearing Board, and was reappointed to the Agricultural Security Advisory Council of Doylestown Township, Pa. Yeager has also been appointed Solicitor to Nockamixon Township and Labor Counsel to Falls Township, Pa.
Maintaining an interest in local and regional political matters, Yeager is the current Solicitor to the Bucks County Democratic Committee. He has also served as legal counsel to the Pennsylvania Democratic Party, as well as numerous federal, state and local campaigns.
