Amerlux Celebrates the Grand Opening of a Spectacular New Facility in China

Global lighting technology leader looks to the Far East to expand its reach worldwide

2011-03-19
FAIRFIELD, NJ, March 19, 2011 (Press-News.org) Amerlux, a leading worldwide lighting solutions provider, recently celebrated the grand opening of Guangzhou Amerlux Lighting Solutions Co. Ltd., our new facility in China, as well as a Hong Kong sales office. A milestone in the history of the Amerlux brand, the Guangzhou location was officially launched on February 15, 2011 with an elaborate traditional Chinese ceremony.

"The opening of Guangzhou Amerlux Lighting Solutions Co. Ltd. heralds a new chapter in our history of success," observed Frank P. Diassi, chairman and founder of Amerlux. "It represents our full commitment to international expansion and to enhancing Amerlux's service to worldwide customers. As global markets continue to open up, our company is strategically positioned to grow exponentially throughout the Far East and all over the world."

Set against a backdrop of floral bouquets and banners in traditionally lucky colors, the opening ceremony was visually stunning. One of the highlights was the unforgettable "Blessing of the Lions" which dates back to the Han Dynasty in 205 B.C. To bestow good luck onto the new venture, the "lions" danced to the accompaniment of ancient Chinese percussion instruments and were "fed" lettuce to invite prosperity. The event was capped by a red-ribbon-cutting ceremony and several speeches, including Mr. Diassi's keynote address. Guests were then treated to a tantalizing buffet of local Chinese fare.

"We were very excited to host the top Amerlux executives and have them participate in our customs," explained Victor Au, Amerlux's Hong Kong-based sales manager and project organizer. "We were honored to have the participation of our chairman, Mr. Diassi, and our chief financial officer, Mr. Weston, as well as local dignitaries, staff and friends."

The Guangzhou Amerlux opening event was a great celebration and melding of business cultures. However, the true star of the show was the new facility itself, which features elegant showrooms that highlight the ingenuity, quality and versatility of Amerlux's product lines. The new location also features technologically sophisticated offices, training spaces and distribution facilities.

"Amerlux is now completely equipped to supply its customer base anywhere in the world," observed Joe Manning, vice president of product development. Mr. Diassi agreed: "We are where our customers are, delivering all of the same top interior and exterior lighting products our customers expect in the U.S. In every Amerlux location across the globe, we stand confidently behind every product that bears our brand name."
