Lymphedema Depot Provides Guides to Solaris Products

Lymphedema Depot has assembled a series of Product Guides to help therapists and patients decide what therapeutic products best fit their condition.

2010-09-09
ST. CATHARINES, ON, CANADA, September 09, 2010 (Press-News.org) Lymphedema Depot has assembled a series of Product Guides to help therapists and patients decide what therapeutic products best fit their condition.

The Product Guides are single-page documents that suggest particular Solaris products that can be used for certain conditions.

The Solaris products are designed primarily for use by lymphedema patients. However, many of these lymphedema-care products can also be used in other conditions where swelling is a problem.

"There are twenty designs for Swell Spots alone; we thought it would be easier for people to determine what product might best help them if they could easily find the products associated with their problem," said Lymphedema Depot's Vice-President and Clinical Specialist John Mulligan, a registered massage therapist and lymphedema therapist.

There are product guides available on the following conditions:

Breast and Truncal Edema
Chronic Venous Insufficiency
Hand and Foot Edema
Genital Lymphedema
Head, Neck and Face Edema

"These are areas where we have found that therapists, fitters and patients need some help to figure out what products will work best for them," continued Mulligan. "Most of the Product Guides will suggest products from different product categories, from Swell Spots to ReadyWraps, Caresia and Tribute. This helps people see that they can put together the best solution for their problem, rather than trying to shoehorn their problem into a product category. For instance, they may have heard that Solaris Tribute is good for swelling, but if they have venous insufficiency they might find that the ReadyWrap is the most appropriate garment. "

The Lymphedema Depot Product Guides can be downloaded from the Lymphedema Depot website, www. lymphedemadepot.com.

Lymphedema Depot Ltd. is a Canadian company dedicated to bringing new options in lymphedema care products to Canada. We are the exclusive Canadian importer and distributor of the Solaris line of compression garments for the treatment of lymphatic and venous edemas.

Solaris, Inc. has been manufacturing premium medical garments in the U.S. for over a decade, designed for patients living with swelling and swelling related conditions such as lymphedema and venous insufficiency. Solaris' garments are warranted and use proven components to keep patients comfortable and free from worry. Solaris takes pride in being at the forefront of technology and constantly evolving, often times based on customer feedback and suggestions. Lymphedema Depot and Solaris both strive to make the management of lymphedema less complex, more effective, and ultimately easier for patients.
