BOYNTON BEACH, FL, March 20, 2011 (Press-News.org) There are countless ways to maintain good health...
You can buy and consume healthier foods in your daily diet, exercise more, take supplements to promote healthy organ function, and routinely check up with a physician to remain aware of any health risks you face. But what about a silent killer, one that can cause damage to your body, and make you more susceptible to disease, without even knowing it?
Radiation is a serious threat to the health and livelihood of all those it effects. While radiation is simply an energy that travels in the form of high-speed particles, the ongoing or immediate exposure to various levels of radiation can alter the health of a person in many negative ways. For those exposed to low doses of radiation over time, either from a workplace or home environment that is susceptible to it or from raw materials that omit high levels, there are much higher tendencies for many ailments and diseases such as cancer. Additionally, those exposed to high levels in a short period are susceptible to burns, nausea, and possible death.
LifeLine will be partnering with various organizations in 2011 to create programming that aims to educate audiences on the causes of both natural and man-made radiation, the potential symptoms of radiation poisoning, and what can be done to treat those afflicted.
