2011-03-20
DALLAS, TX, March 20, 2011 (Press-News.org) Center Operating Company, which manages the American Airlines Center, has recognized M S Benbow & Associates (MSB) with a Corporate Partnership Award. The Corporate Partnership Award recognizes MSB for its 10-year commitment to providing engineering and project management services for the wireless infrastructure that supports an estimated two million guests annually at American Airlines Center. MSB provides engineering consulting to the American Airlines Center for wireless voice, data and text services within the sports and entertainment venue located in the Victory Park neighborhood near downtown Dallas.

One of the most technologically advanced venues in the world, American Airlines Center is a premier sports and entertainment venue and home to the NHL's Dallas Stars, NBA's Dallas Mavericks and AFL's Dallas Vigilantes. Since opening in July 2001, the 840,000-square-foot American Airlines Center has set a new standard for providing the most advanced technology including infrastructure expansions to support the latest advancements in communications. Center Operating Company engaged MSB to provide system planning and management of multiple distributed antenna systems for the center's wireless carriers to ensure reliable cellular, smart-phone and other wireless coverage serving the facility.

"We have always believed that providing the ultimate experience for our guests includes having the best amenities available for sports and entertainment, including the latest technology," Lori Glasser-Seinera, vice president of strategic alliance and sales of Center Operating Company said. "With strong, long-standing relationships with cellular carriers, M S Benbow is instrumental in providing technical support and managing relationships with multiple cellular carriers and wireless providers to allow us to maintain and support excellent cellular service for guests of the American Airlines Center."

With more than 30 years' experience managing complex telecommunications projects, MSB President and Engineering Manager Leo L. Holzenthal, Jr. was given special recognition for his contribution as project manager.

"As smartphone usage becomes more sophisticated, it will continue to develop and enhance the fan experience. Significant advances in wireless technology help state-of-the-art facilities such as American Airlines Center meet the growing demand for in-stadium coverage," Holzenthal said.

MSB has worked on projects to implement or enhance cellular coverage in large-scale venues such as airports, hotels, arenas and convention centers throughout the Gulf South. In addition to the American Airlines Center, MSB engineered, built and manages the telecom infrastructure at nearby Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
