"The Vegas Box" Launch Keeps What Happens in Vegas in Vegas
New personal storage service lets frequent travelers avoid baggage fees and leave commonly-used items in Vegas.
SEATTLE, WA, March 21, 2011
Las Vegas has become a hotspot for all types of travelers - gamblers, partiers, sun seekers, adventurers, convention and trade show attendees and even families - due to the growing number of activities, business conferences and attractions in residence. This means suitcases full of necessities that make traveling burdensome and costly with airline baggage fees. Not anymore. Today's launch of The Vegas Box (www.thevegasbox.com) offers travelers who frequent Las Vegas a unique, personalized storage solution for commonly traveled personal items, such as shampoo, conditioner, sunscreen, shaving cream, toothpaste, curling irons, alcohol, and more. At only $99 per year, The Vegas Box pays for itself within just one roundtrip baggage fee per individual or couple (airline dependent)."As a Las Vegas visitor, you are likely to have leftover items such as aerosols, body lotion, face wash, contact solution, hair products, polish remover, or alcoholic beverages that you will throw away or be forced to pay to check your bag on your return home," said Gena Marler, co-founder of The Vegas Box. "If you visit Vegas just twice per year, The Vegas Box pays for itself and makes traveling so much more convenient and easy without the cost of a checked bag and hassle of transporting these items back and forth."
The Vegas Box is not only cost effective, but simple for travelers too. Upon departure, an industrial-strength 20 x 17 x 12" lockable storage box is delivered to the customer at their hotel and then picked up upon departure and moved to storage in a secure, climate-controlled warehouse until a future visit. When the traveler returns to Las Vegas the box is delivered to their hotel and taken to their room by bell services upon check in with all of their necessities and extras ready to use.
"We have a large number of guests who frequently stay at our property in Las Vegas," said a large-hotel concierge. "So this is an excellent way to assure their personal property is ready and waiting for their return. Until now, there was no easy solution for storing the things our guests want and need for their next visit. The Vegas Box is an affordable idea whose time has come."
The Vegas Box stores all items destined for the trash if the traveler chooses to carry-on luggage for the flight home. For $99 per year, The Vegas Box comes complete with dividers, breakaway security locks, one year of secure storage and two hotel deliveries. Additional deliveries can be added for $20 and customers can also supply their own lock if they wish. Popular Las Vegas hotels are on the pick-up and delivery list, and other hotels and timeshares may be added to the list through an easy request form on The Vegas Box website at no additional charge. For trade show visitors, the service can store many of the things needed for a show - up to 70lbs per container.
"Most people will just throw everything away when they leave to avoid checking a bag and buy new for return trips. We know this is expensive, time intensive and wasteful, and hope to reduce all three for our customers - even where indulgence is encouraged," Marler closed.
