COLUMBIA, MD, September 09, 2010 (Press-News.org) Lennar (NYSE: LEN), one of the nation's leading homebuilders since 1954, is accomplishing something pretty extraordinary at its master-planned Tanyard Springs community in Glen Burnie, Maryland.
In only six days, Lennar's Maryland division has its 2,273 square foot single-family Connor Patrick model home under roof. This two-story home with basement includes four bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms and a two-car garage.
It is the second home being built under the division's Lunar Build program created to strive for model homes to be completed in less than 30 days. The term "Lunar Build" is derived from the average amount of days it takes for the moon to orbit the Earth.
For a model home to be constructed in this quick of a timeframe requires a great deal of coordination from all parties involved.
"As you can imagine, we are in constant communication with our building partners and inspectors," said Jonathan Tepper, Director of Sales and Marketing for Lennar's Maryland division. "We couldn't accomplish our Lunar Build homes without their cooperation and support of this program."
Lennar's Maryland division created the Lunar Build program to help ensure model homes are built in the best manageable timeframe possible.
"The quicker a model home can be constructed and opened the faster prospective homebuyers can tour the home and visually see all the unique offerings a Lennar home truly provides," said Tepper. "This enables homebuyers to know exactly what they are getting for their investment so they can be more confident in their home purchase decision."
Anyone interested in viewing photos of the continued progress of the Lunar Build model home in Tanyard Springs can visit Lennar Maryland's Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/Lennar.Maryland
The division plans to have a total of seven Lunar Build Model homes completed by the end of the year.
Lennar's Tanyard Springs master-planned community is located off Elias Way in Glen Burnie, Maryland. It's the perfect place to call home with convenient access to I-95 and I-695.
Tanyard Springs offers standout amenities including an expansive clubhouse with state-of-the-art fitness center, meeting rooms, Olympic size eight-lane swimming pool, tot lots, walking trails, a dog park, basketball courts, tennis courts and ball field.
