Bluegreen Hosts Christmas Mountain Village Rock Star Competition

Bluegreen's Christmas Mountain Village hosts its annual Rock Star Competition where guests compete for a one-week vacation plus round-trip airfare to a Bluegreen resort.

2011-03-24
BOCA RATON, FL, March 24, 2011 (Press-News.org) Bluegreen Corporation, a leading provider of Colorful Places to Live and Play, today announced its annual Christmas Mountain Village Rock Star Competition at Bluegreen's Wisconsin Dells timeshare resort. The winner of the Christmas Mountain Village Rock Star title will receive round-trip airfare and a one-week vacation (a $2,500 value) to any Bluegreen resort in the continental United States based on availability. Similar to the popular American Idol contest, the Christmas Mountain Village Rock Star Competition is open to any Bluegreen owner visiting the resort.

Lisha Eckelberg, Hospitality Specialist and Marketing Manager at Christmas Mountain Village states, "The Rock Star program was added two years ago and has been a tremendous success. It is a culmination of a year's worth of Karaoke every Saturday night at Mulligan's where guests participate for a ticket allowing them to compete against the other Saturday night winners on August 20, 2011 with a live band and real fans to cheer their rock star to the Finals."

The Christmas Mountain Village Rock Star Competition is held at 9 o'clock p.m. every Saturday night at Bluegreen's on-site restaurant and sports bar, Mulligan's. A finalist will be selected every week to perform live in the Christmas Mountain Village Rock Star Showdown on August 20, 2011. Finalists will compete in front of a live audience with the help of a professional sound system and live band.

Eckelberg continues, "It is a lot of fun to see all of the families enjoying themselves while watching the competition. Audience participation is the key to being the next CMV Rock Star as we have a clap-o-meter so the contestant that receives the most cheers wins. This is a great thing to participate in during your stay, with the chance to launch your singing career and win a grand prize for first place."
