Food Inspection HACCP PDA System Meets Needs of School Food Services

Green Edge Systems presents the Sure Check HACCP PDA Inspection System with the capability to program all menu items into the system and automatically schedule them according to the daily menu plan - Ideal for schools that are on a menu cycle.

2010-08-13
WOODLAND HILLS, CA, August 13, 2010 (Press-News.org) Green Edge Systems, Inc., leader in Technology Solutions for School Food Services presented the Sure Check (iQuality) HACCP PDA Inspection System for school food services at the ANC-2010 School Nutrition Association SNA.

Many of the visitors at the exhibition took advantage of the possibility to get a hands on demonstration of the system and experience its advanced feature set.

A new feature of the Sure Check PDA Inspection System allows to program all menu items into the system and automatically schedule them according to the daily menu plan, a feature that is ideal for school districts that are on a menu cycle.

It is also easy to create new checklists by copying an existing
checklist and making a few changes in it.

The Sure Check (iQuality) HACCP food Inspection System helps manage Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) and inspection programs for large food services. System combines PDA, temperature data acquisition, and web-based software to automate monitoring of quality risk factors and unsafe conditions. Compliance records include execution timing, HACCP, recall alert action status, missing checklists, top violations, violation details, single checklist detail, and a daily summary.

PAR Tech's Sure Check HACCP PDA Inspection System is designed to take the effort and risk out of food quality monitoring.

Food borne illness puts students and school food services at risk. While school food services have Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) programs, most are ineffective and time-consuming. Sure Check is a powerful Web-based tool for managing HACCP and inspection programs for large food services. Combining the best technology in PDAs (handheld computers), temperature data acquisition, and Web-based software, Sure Check automates the monitoring of quality risk factors while dramatically lowering the potential for human error.

Critical information is centralized through web-based reporting, audit trails, and checklist-management tools. Corrective actions are provided when unsafe conditions are detected.

The list of features of Sure Check Inspection system is rather long, however, every feature is important and makes the difference between just another HACCP Inspection PDA system and one that meets the needs of school districts for a reliable, flexible to use and cost effective system.

Features:

• Inputs temperature probe data directly into the PDA
• Ensures checkpoints are actually visited
• Prompts with corrective actions whenever a critical limit is exceeded
• Manages multi-step processes such as cooling
• Makes reports instantly available via Web-browser
• Ensure critical food handling procedures are followed via automated checklists, action prompts, and audit trails
• Streamline regulatory reporting with paperless data capture
• Stay on top of the latest safety procedures with centralized configuration and automatic change distribution
• Improve awareness of food safety with instant alerts and enterprise reports
• Eliminates the need to buy expensive servers, as the solution is completely hosted
• Simplify support with centralized configuration tool and easy-to-use hardware/and software
• Deploys easily with Web-based architecture

Benefits:

• Automate HACCP Plan Management - By automating management of HACCP plans, Sure Check helps you ensure critical points are maintained. With real-time data delivery, it enables exception-based reporting and alerts while capturing timestamps and operator names for audit trail.

• Complete Record Keeping - Maintain excellent records of compliance including execution timing, HACCP, recall alert action status, missing checklists, not observed, top violations, violation details, single checklist detail, and a daily summary.

• Durable Handheld Hardware - The DT Research DT-430 handheld stands up to the restaurant environment. The unit is extremely temperature and humidity resistant. It is equipped with an integrated temperature probe.

• Increase Accuracy with RFID Tags - Uses RFID tags to ensure checkpoints are visited. The handheld device has a built-in reader that reads RFID tags to yield correct readings from all areas including refrigeration units.

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) - AWS offers best-in-class uptime, reliability, security and scalability.
