2011-03-25
THUNDERBAY, ON, March 25, 2011 (Press-News.org) GLOBAL ArtXchanges is focused on: 'Art being an integral part of helping enrich the lives of youth, in any impoverished community, large or small". Recent News: "At this moment we are working with a needy youth art school in Kathmandu, who have no proper art supplies. We work to maintain and help the art groups to try to sustain themselves, motivating youth to freely express their visions through art. We seek to aid through 'artaid' into the poorer regions world-wide, to war torn places, to make a positive difference and create hope in the lives of youth".

GLOBAL ArtXchanges accomplishes its mission:

To send proper 'Art Supplies' (not money) to impoverished/remote places world-wide that cannot, for many reasons get art materials.

Educating by helping to create a sustainable art program or enhance one that's already begun, which will have a positive effect on their economic stability, lifestyle, and promote volunteering, create jobs in the community we work into.

To raise funds through fundraising efforts, from business and private donations that will cover costs of supplies, shipping, travel, admin. costs, and *a Short Documentary Film (2011-2012), and to continue further.

Working into 15 places this 2011 to send art supplies. In return young artists will send 3 artworks representing their own visions/expressive themes. These will be a part of an 'International Art Exhibition' in 2012 plus a Short Documentary Film.

(t.b.a) will be made. Donation are accepted through: http://www.vpeltonen.com/artworks/global-artxchanges/

Global ArtXchanges is being noticed for it's determination to see that Art is an important part of a poor community's well being. It breaks through borders as does music and health aid does.
