ISELIN, NJ, March 30, 2011 (Press-News.org) Doug Richter and Ian Grusd of Sperry Van Ness | Richter Grusd, a commercial real estate brokerage firm serving New Jersey, were both named Top 20 Advisors in the US for 2010 by Sperry Van Ness International (SVNI). The Managing Directors of the Metropark based company were recognized out of more than 800 SVNI advisors and honored last month at an awards ceremony.
"The last two years have been a challenge for the real estate industry, but we definitely saw improvement in 2010," says Richter. "We are bullish for 2011 as interest rates remain at historical lows and companies gain confidence to purchase and lease properties."
While numerous closings led Richter and Grusd to the Top 20 mark, some of their more notable deals included:
Property: 20 Pulaski Street, Bayonne (pictured below)
Size: 95,000 square feet
Sold For: $5,130,000
Buyer: Continental Concessions, Inc.
Property: 800 Apgar Drive, Somerset
Size: 84,722 square feet
Sold For: $6,245,000
Buyer: Beumer Corporation
Property: 1201 Jersey Avenue, North Brunswick
Size: 76,000 square feet
Sold For: $3,140,000
Buyer: No Brunch Realty LLC
Richter Grusd client Aaron Slonim, owner of Continental Concessions, recounts "I was shown dozens of properties by other brokers, but none of them were working. Time was of the essence and I needed to find the right building for my distribution company. From day one, Ian and Doug honed in on the process and put me into the perfect building without wasting my time."
As Richter and Grusd collect their award, Sperry Van Ness also gained a notable industry achievement. A 2011 survey from The Lipsey Company reports that the organization was named as the 10th most recognized brand in commercial real estate.
