Award Winning Historical Romance Author Kris Tualla Announces That She Will Be Appearing At The 2011 RT Booklovers Convention

Kris Tualla is the best selling author of the Hansen family trilogy of historical romance novels. Tualla believes it is time for a new breed of historical romance hero and puts forth the idea that Norway is the new Scotland

2011-03-31
SUPPLY, NC, March 31, 2011 (Press-News.org) Kris Tualla, award winning author of the Hansen series of historical romance novels, announces that she will be appearing at the 2011 RT Booklovers Convention in Los Angeles.

In the historical romance genre, Scotland has always held the upper hand in regards to popular story lines. For many years, novels featuring Scottish themes have been devoured by the reading public. One writer, Kris Tualla, feels that this popular theme has been overwritten and is offering something new, fresh and exciting to the loyal readers of historical romance.

"In the historical romance genre," stated Tualla, "there have been literally countless kilted warrior stories. I believe it's time for a new breed of heroes. I ask readers to come along with me and find out why Norway IS the new Scotland."

All of the primary characters in Tualla's books are members of the fictional Hansen family of Arendal, Norway. The trilogy begins in the Missouri Territory, moves to Norway, and then back again to Missouri after it has attained statehood. The saga of the Hansen family often features older characters and rich story lines.

"I am very honored," stated Ms. Tualla, "to be involved in this event. Romantic Times is a quality organization. And it doesn't hurt that they gave my historical novel, 'A Matter Of Principle', 4 stars and a glowing review. And the RT Booklovers Convention is a unique opportunity for readers to connect with their favorite romantic authors - of all genres. The 'Mr Romance' pageant is priceless fun. A retired high school teacher, she started in 2006 with nothing but a nugget of a character in mind and absolutely no idea where to go from there. She has created a series - with three novels released and three additional novels currently in line for publication.

Kris Tualla is an award winning writer who writes with a fast-paced and succinct style. Her plots are full of twists, passion, and very satisfying outcomes. Kris is an active member of both Romance Writers of America and the Historical Novel Society. She is an enthusiastic speaker and teacher, and is spearheading Arizona Dreamin' - Arizona's first ever romance-reader event set for June 4, 2011.
