2011-04-02
CUYAHOGA FALLS, OH, April 02, 2011 (Press-News.org) MONSTERS Unlimited announces their acclaimed family gaming app "MiX'Em" will be available as a free download in the iTunes App Store beginning April 1. The free promotion will run for a limited time before the app returns to regular price.

"We wanted to give everyone - parents, kids and casual gamers - the chance to enjoy MiX'Em free of charge," said game designer Patrick Jebber. "Our goal is to get the game in the hands of as many families as possible, especially all the new iPad 2 and Verizon iPhone buyers who are just starting to explore the App Store."

The MiX'Em app - compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch - incorporates four fun and educational games for the whole family. The games range from "Spell'Em", an engaging learning tool for kids, to "Match'Em", an insanely addictive memory game that will have adults racking their brains and racing the clock. All the games feature MiX'Em's lineup of engaging original characters.

Since debuting in the iTunes App Store in late 2010, MiX'Em has quickly become a favorite app for families everywhere. Fans nominated MiX'Em for three 2010 Best App Ever Awards: Best Kids App, Best Parenting App, and Best Family Game.

"A lot of parents who are just getting iPhones or iPads don't yet realize the amazing potential of the technology to bring families together," Jebber said. "That's why we created MiX'Em, so parents and children can sit down and learn and play together. It's also a great way to bring family game night into the new millennium."

MiX'Em is available as free download in the iTunes App Store for a limited time beginning April 1. Learn more about MiX'Em at the MiX'Em game website: http://mixemgame.com

2011-04-02
Exposure to attractive, aggressive, female leads in films affects how men and women think about who women ought to be in the real world. Women in particular have high standards for other women, and expect them to be both stereotypically feminine and masculine i.e. beautiful and aggressive rather than beautiful and passive. That's according to new research by Laramie Taylor and Tiffany Setters, from the University of California, Davis in the US, published online in Springer's Sex Roles journal. Taylor and Setters' work looks at the impact of media representations of film ...

The researchers have studied these smells in both adult bed bugs and nymphs (immature ...
