PLEASANTON, CA, April 02, 2011 (Press-News.org) ADPublishing.org, an Internet, Social Media and Mobile marketing company, in association with the Student Investors & Entrepreneurs' Club at UC Davis will host a free seminar on "how and why" to manage your online image and reputation.
The seminar is scheduled for Wednesday, April 6th, from 7:10pm to 9pm at Hart Hall, Room 1150, on the UC Davis Campus. Attendance is open to the public, but seating is limited and the room is expected to fill up quickly.
"65% of consumers cite the Internet as being important in buying decisions and 78% of consumers trust social network review and endorsements," said David Chan, of ADPublishing.org. "Managing your reputation online is critical for everyone, whether you are an individual or a company. Prospective employers, potential customers and business partners are increasingly making decisions based on what they discover about you on the Internet. Do you know what's being said about you?"
Attendees will be shown real life examples on how to monitor their online profiles, steps to take to protect their image, and what tools and resources they can use to improve their "quality" score. Attendees should expect to walk away with a good understanding of how to manage their online reputation.
"UC Davis students looking to get a job after graduation need to be aware of the pros and cons of social media and the Internet," said Andrew Waag, President of the Student Investors & Entrepreneurs' Club.
