LONGMONT, CO, September 10, 2010 (Press-News.org) BMGI (http://www.bmgi.com) a market leader in building problem solving solutions will be hosting a one-day "How to Run a Successful Kaizen Event" in Chicago, IL on September 29, 2010.

During this event learn how to apply the different Lean tools, choose team members, motivate and manage team activity during the event and how to maximize the financial results; thus ensuring greater ROI for your organization. Additionally you will learn the SCORE methodology, a highly-successful approach to planning, executing and evaluating Kaizen events developed by BMGI. Practitioners discover the key steps for each phase of SCORE (Select, Clarify, Organize, Run and Evaluate).

This session will be led by Wes Waldo, the COO for BMGI and a certified Lean Master with more than a fifteen years of quality, operations management and process improvement experience in diverse environments. He has lead and mentored hundreds of Kaizen events and will share real world examples on what went well and even more importantly, what went wrong. Wes co-authored the BMGI book A Team Leader's Guide to Kaizen Events, and is a contributor to the Idiot's Guide to Lean Six Sigma.

Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:

- Lead waste-reducing Kaizen events using the results-driven SCORE methodology
- Choose the right Lean tool at the right moment during the event
- Create meaningful and realistic Kaizen event deliverables
- Plan and deliver fast-paced events that are fun and engaging for all participants
- Effectively capture and report on event results

Additionally, each attendee will receive a copy of the step-by-step SCORE event guide, A Team Leader's Guide to Lean Kaizen Events, which they can use as a helpful checklist when they run their own events.
