KIEV, UKRAINE, April 03, 2011 (Press-News.org) Creative association Dzyga and Ukrainian hotel chain Reikartz Hotels & Resorts present the 9th International Ethno & Jazz Festival "Flugery Lvova with Reikartz". The festival continues the series of cultural events in Lviv held with support of Reikartz Hotels & Resorts.
This year "Flugery Lvova with Reikartz", already a musical trademark of Lviv, will be held from April 30th to May 2nd. All the festival concerts except for famous Waking up with the Mertvyi Piven Show are free for every visitor.
The scene of the festival will traditionally have its unique location - the inner court of the Lviv City Hall. For three days it will sound with outstanding combination of ethnic music and jazz. In total, the festival will involve over 50 musicians with 17 projects from Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Lithuania, the Netherlands.
"Flugery Lvova with Reikartz" will start with an ethno meditation by "Tatosh Banda", then "Rusichi" will add a bit of folk-rock drive, the "ShockolaD" team will surprise listeners with jazz rendition of folk songs, and "Mlada" will charm with soulful vocals.
At nightfall, melodious compositions of the unique Moscow project "Pervoe Solnce" will fill the spring city. Their nontrivial live music is full of beautiful tones and images that invite listeners into the world of cinematic dreams.
By the festival tradition, the famous Waking up with the Mertvyi Piven Show will take place on Sunday morning of May 1st. The Lviv rock legends are going to present their new "Radio Aphrodite" album. Waking up will be assisted by "Kamyshoviy Kot" from Vinnytsia. The second evening of the festival will begin with the performance of the musical and theatrical "Vuraj" project from Belarus, then followed by ethnic music from Polish "Kapelly Maliszow" and Lithuanian "Antikvariniai Kaspirovskio Dantys", a mixture of styles, instruments and images by "DagaDana", as well as unforgettable trembita rock by "Korall³".
