MANCHESTER, ENGLAND, April 07, 2011 (Press-News.org) When it comes to laser hair removal, men north of the border are heading south and seeking 'Brozillian' treatments for their 'boykini' line, according to the latest figures from Transform's Scottish clinics.
The report reveals that the clinics have recorded a 34 per cent increase in enquiries about the treatment during the first quarter of this year, compared to the corresponding months in 2010, as Scottish men look to get rid of their fuzz ahead of the fast-approaching summertime.
'Brozillians' or 'boykini' line hair removal typically involves waxing which requires upkeep sessions around every four weeks.
Discussing the growing trend, Transform spokesperson Shami Thomas remarked: "Laser hair removal is a long-lasting solution to removing hair for both men and women and has been popular with women for many years. Regular shaving, painful plucking and expensive waxing can be a pain in the you-know-what and it's fantastic to see more Scotsmen coming in seeking a permanent solution.
"We have seen a real surge in this type of enquiry this year and we expect a high proportion of these to lead to bookings. Whether this is due to 2011 male swimwear trends showing more leg or just that Scotsmen are becoming more body conscious, this is a service that we offer at our Scottish clinics and we're delighted that it is becoming more popular."
Visitors to Transform's Scottish clinics are able to be treated using a Pain-Free, Hair-Free system, which removes hair with no pain. The Transform Cosmetic Surgery Group clinics are among the first in the UK to use the system, meaning that Scottish clients can get the gentlest hair removal treatment possible.
