Molly Maid of Houston to the Rescue for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

Local Franchise Rallies Together Maids to Help Clean House

2010-09-10
HOUSTON, TX, September 10, 2010 (Press-News.org) In early August, Molly Maid owners Tony and Susie Kirby received a panicked phone call from a producer of ABC's hit show, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition requesting their service. With just a few hours before the family was due home for the final reveal, the franchise owners frantically rounded up their staff and headed out to the brand new home, armed with cleaning supplies.

The producer was a loyal Molly Maid customer and knew he could depend on the company to get the 4,500-square-foot, two-story house cleaned before the family walk-through.

"There had to be well over 100 contractors on the scene," said Susie Kirby, owner of the Molly Maid of Houston. "We literally had to clean around the people still working to finish the house - I know we ended up cleaning a couple of the rooms more than once."

About 20 Molly Maid home service professionals dashed out from their family dinners to meet at the main office to re-stock their cars with the necessary supplies before heading out the new house located at 3613 Goodhope in Houston. The crew finished up their duties at 11 p.m. and filed out the back door as the family was welcomed to their new home through the front.

The episode is set to air Sunday, September 26, 2010 at 8/7 central for the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition season premiere.

To date, Molly Maid has cleaned 17 million households around the world and performed 1.4 million cleaning jobs in 2009 alone. Molly Maid franchise owners don't actually clean homes, rather they receive training and support from the home office to recruit, train, motivate and manage employees to clean customers' homes in the utmost professional and thorough manner. Employees are screened and properly insured. The Molly Maid franchise opportunity, ideal for entrepreneurs with a sales or management background, provides franchise owners with unlimited room for growth without working nights and weekends.
