Untappd and Footfeed Partner to Enable Multi Check-in into Beers and Bars

April 7, 2011 - Location-based check-in services Untappd and Footfeed join forces to enable multi check-in into beers and bars.

2011-04-09
DANVILLE, CA, April 09, 2011 (Press-News.org) Untappd and Footfeed, two increasingly popular location-based check-in services, have partnered together to enable checking in to multiple networks through Untappd, the premier location-based social network that let's you check into beers and bars. Powered by Footfeed's multi check-in API, as of today, when a user checks into a beer or a bar with Untappd, they can now check-in to Gowalla in addition to the current support for Foursquare.

Footfeed and Untappd have been working closely on the integration of the Footfeed multi check-in API for several months. "Back in October, fans of Untappd and Footfeed began emailing us, asking if we could bring the two services together", says Dennis Mink, CEO of Footfeed. "They loved Untappd for checking into beers and bars, and Footfeed to check into multiple networks simultaneously. When I spoke with the Untappd team about the idea, they told me that their users too were asking for the same thing. To work together."

With the integration of Footfeed's multi check-in API comes the ability for Untappd to expand to additional location based networks, such as Facebook Places and Google Latitude, in the future. "Our users are passionate both about beer and location-based networks," says Greg Avola, CTO of Untappd, "we want to give them the best of both worlds by supporting the networks our users want."

About Footfeed. Footfeed is a location-based multi check-in network and API founded in January, 2010 by Dennis Mink and Ben Floering.
