CEDAR RAPIDS, IA, April 09, 2011 (Press-News.org) Cedar Rapids Tire, a Marion, Iowa-based specialty tire distribution company, is pleased to announce sponsorship of 12-year-old Zoe Erdman of Springville, IA for the duration of her motocross racing season with Iowa District 22.
Zoe's first race will be at New Hartford Racing, held on April 16th and 17th in New Hartford, IA. She will be racing two bikes this season, a Yamaha YZ85 and a Yamaha Supermini, both rebuilt by her dad, Joe. Joe is a disabled Iraq war veteran on permanent medical leave due to the detonation of an improvised explosive device that caused traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress disorder. He is her biggest fan and personal mechanic, constantly tearing down and rebuilding her bikes to make sure they are in top running condition.
Zoe, a 6th grader at Springville Elementary school, is the daughter of Joe and Ashley Erdman and has two younger sisters, Makala and Piper, who are also interested in motorsports. Additional sponsorship for Zoe is being provided by One Industries.
Cedar Rapids Tire offers ATV, motorcycle, trailer, lawn and other types of specialty tires for sale. The company also carries motorcycle accessories and is one of a number of businesses owned by Iowa-based investment firm Top Tier Holdings LLC.
