Dallas Career Expert Is Finalist at North Texas Book Festival

Chadwell's book, Changing Careers in a Changing World, is one of the finalists for non-fiction in the 2011 North Texas Book Festival.

CRESTVIEW, FL, April 13, 2011 (Press-News.org) Carrell Chadwell, career psychologist and author of "Changing Careers in a Changing World," has been selected as a finalist in the non-fiction category in the 2011 NTBF Book Award Contest.

"Changing Careers in a Changing World" is a step-by-step guide and workbook that helps readers assess what they need in a job, identify jobs that will give them what they need, and prepare themselves to compete successfully for those jobs. It contains numerous exercises and worksheets to help readers define their interests, strengths and values, and match them to careers and jobs.

Chadwell will present a short seminar on "How to Find a Career You Can Love" at the North Texas Book Festival in Denton, Texas, on Saturday, April 16, at 10:45 a.m. In the mini-seminar, she will offer practical tips and advice on identifying careers and jobs that truly fit one's needs. She will discuss:

• How to determine what you need in a job
• How to figure out what careers will fit those needs
• How to find out where those jobs are

The North Texas Book Festival is a free annual event in which citizens can meet as many as 50 authors, browse and buy books, and attend author presentations and workshops.
