Riptide selected to prime first RDS (Range Data System)

Riptide Software, Inc. announced today that it has been selected by The U.S. Army Program Executive Office Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) with Koos Technologies and RSDI to develop the first CARTS contract, Range Data System.

Riptide Software, Inc. announced today that it has been selected by The U.S. Army Program Executive Office Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) with Koos Technologies and RSDI to develop the first CARTS (Common Army Ranges and Target System) contract, Range Data System (RDS). This is the first contract to be awarded under the new CARTS IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity) vehicle with an estimated lifetime value of $1.8 million.

RDS will provide a complete system including the soldier radios with hardware and software to provide command, control and communications (C3) infrastructure. This contract will field a force-on-force company level training instrumentation system to Ft. Bliss and Ft. Riley.
