LateRooms.com - Pere I El Llop Hits the Stage in Barcelona

A children's show entitled Pere I El Llop is available to view in October and could be great for tourists on holiday with youngsters.

2010-09-12
BARCELONA, SPAIN, September 12, 2010 (Press-News.org) A production of Pere I El Llop - AKA Peter and the Wolf - is being performed in Barcelona's Gran Teatre de Liceu this autumn, with audiences set to be treated to marvellous music with fun visual additions.

This show is primarily aimed at youngsters, but it will no doubt be appreciated by many adult guests at some of the cheap hotels Barcelona has to offer.

"Each instrument represents a character in this musical story, told by a narrator, about a little boy called Peter who was so brave and intelligent that he was able to capture a wolf," explained the organisers.

With an orchestra playing the music on stage, a dark screen behind the musicians is lit up using luminous animated figures, as the music and images combine to tell the story of Pere I El Llop.

The puppets and stage direction have been organised by Enrique Lanz, while the music was written by Serguei Prokofiev.

Parents worried about taking very young children to the concert should not be concerned, as it is aimed at youngsters aged four and over, with a manageable running time of just 50 minutes.

Visitors can book tickets online for this production, which is being staged on various dates and times between October 2nd and 17th and costs EUR11 (GBP9).

Other shows taking place at the arts space soon include George Bizet's Carmen.

For more information on this event visit the Gran Teatre de Liceu website or contact the venue on +34 93 485 99 00.

20 Years Since The Passage of the ADA, Employment Disparities Remain

2010-09-12
On July 26, 1990, President George H.W. Bush signed into law the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), providing sweeping protections for those with disabilities. Workers' Compensation Benefits in Pennsylvania

2010-09-12
Workers' compensation is a no fault system; if you are injured on the job, you are entitled to benefits regardless of whether your employer's negligence caused your injuries. The system aims to provide compensation for injured workers without focusing on who is to blame. However, the fact that you don't have to demonstrate that the injuries were your employer's fault does not mean that there is no room for disagreement on the matter of compensation. An employer may argue that your injuries are not work-related, or may accept that one injury is work-related while denying ...
