KANATA, ON, April 21, 2011 (Press-News.org) The 2011 line-up for Ottawa Senators Summer Hockey Camps has just been launched. They feature something for male & female players of all ages and abilities, from an Elite Camp which is designed for elite level players only to full and half-day Non-Competitive Camps for house league players and a Start Right program for beginners. Camps will run 7 weeks starting July 11 and finishing August 26.
Kanata native Peter Ambroziak has been hired as the new head of hockey development for Ottawa Senators Hockey Programs. In his new role at the Bell Sensplex, Ambroziak will be responsible for the design and execution of all on-ice Ottawa Senators hockey programs, including summer hockey camps.
Ambroziak spent four seasons playing with the Ontario Hockey League's (OHL) Ottawa 67's before being drafted in the fourth round in the 1991 NHL entry draft by the Buffalo Sabres. Ambroziak played 12 games for the Sabres during the 1994-95 NHL season, earning one assist. He also spent parts of seven seasons from 1991 to 1998 in the American Hockey League with the Rochester Americans, Albany River Rats, Cornwall Aces and Hershey Bears.
