SpreadBets.org.uk Releases Trading Guides to the Main Spread Betting Markets

LONDON, ENGLAND, April 27, 2011

Leading spread betting website, SpreadBets.org.uk, has released a new set of trading guides covering the major spread betting markets.

The guides review which spread betting companies offer the key markets. They also discuss detailed trading scenarios for both winning and losing trades as well as factors that influence the markets.

www.SpreadBets.org.uk spokesman, James White says that it's important to focus on both the positives and negatives of spread betting, "A lot of sites cover the basics but we wanted to make sure our readers were getting in-depth reviews for the most traded markets.

"Spread betting offers investors many opportunities but there are some negatives. It's important the trading guides cover both the pros and the cons."

The new financial spread betting guides cover the main asset classes and include:

- A guide to indices spread betting
- A guide to shares spread betting
- A guide to forex spread betting
- A guide to commodities spread betting

Commenting on the guides White said, "The great thing is that they highlight many of the pitfalls. Most active traders will make a profit on a good number of trades. However those profits can be quickly wiped out with losing trades.

"By highlighting negative scenarios, or even emphasising events that are likely to make the markets move in a certain direction, we hope the guide will encourage investors to spend more time on the risk management. Better risk management will hopefully lead to smaller losing trades and therefore better overall results."

Many retail investors use spread betting because, unlike most other forms of trading, with a spread bet they can speculate on the financial markets to go in both directions; up and down. This means that investors can make a profit from both a falling market as well as a rising one.

A further key benefit is that many of the leading spread betting companies let investors trade outside market hours and often 24 hours a day, 5 days a week.
