LONDON, ENGLAND, April 28, 2011 (Press-News.org) The auditing company MERFI (Društvo za reviziju "MERFI", d.o.o.), based in Sarajevo, has joined the Russell Bedford International network as its correspondent firm in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
MERFI provides services in the areas of project monitoring and evaluation, project financial management, risk assessment and financial, performance and compliance auditing for local and international clients such as NGOs, governmental bodies, health institutions and other professional services firms.
Founded in 2004 and licensed by the Federal Ministry of Finance, the company has two principals, Azra Krajšek and Kasim Durmiševic.
Azra Krajšek, the firm's owner, is a licensed auditor and certified accountant with a degree in Economics from the University of Sarajevo. She is a member of the Association of Accountants & Auditors of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SRR-FBiH) and a founding member of the Audit Chamber of FBiH. Azra has some 11 years' professional experience in consulting and audit assignments. Her areas of specialisation are financial, performance and compliance audits of donor funded projects, organisational capacity assessments, forensic audit, and training in financial management, internal control and accounting issues.
Kasim Durmiševic is a licensed auditor, certified accountant and court-appointed financial and accounting expert. He has a degree in Economics from the University of Sarajevo and is a member of the SRR-FBiH. Prior to the founding of MERFI, he spent many years in general and financial management roles in industry. His fields of expertise are the audits of companies and healthcare institutions, the organisation and management of trading and manufacturing companies, feasibility studies and tourism project planning.
