PEPPERELL, MA, April 28, 2011 (Press-News.org) Alarmed by the sudden rise of gas prices at the pumps, residents are taking action and demanding education about what they can do to secure their energy future. Mark Durrenberger, a trained Nuclear Engineer turned "solar guy" is ready to help. "People are tired of paying utility companies, but not seeing a return on their investment," says Durrenberger. "When I show a homeowner that they can put a solar system on their house and receive a return on investment greater than 15%, it is clear that solar power is a viable energy solution."
Durrenberger says that many solar electric systems will pay for themselves in the first five years. "After that you've got free energy from the sun for decades," he adds. This is the information that homeowners are clamoring to hear. So the Town of Pepperell has invited Durrenberger to address residents' questions about solar at the Lawrence Library Tuesday April 26, 2011.
The Town of Pepperell is a solar leader in the region. The Town used Clean Energy Choice grant money to pay for the installation of two solar parking lot lights behind the library last fall. Now they hope to inspire residents to learn about solar choices by hosting the free meeting at the library - April 26, 2011 between 7 and 8 PM.
New England Breeze Solar specializes in residential installations of solar water heating and solar electric (photovoltaic) systems. Our mission is to help you secure your energy future by providing affordable solar solutions.
