Maybank MoneyTree Young Entrepreneur Startup (YES 3) Challenge - Red Carpet

April 28, 2011 (Press-News.org) The Maybank MoneyTree Young Entrepreneur Startup Challenge "YES 3 Red Carpet" party was held on Friday, 15th April 2011 at the Eastin Hotel, Petaling Jaya. The YES 3 Red Carpet party was a cocktail party to celebrate the entrepreneurial journey of the YES 3 finalists and for the grand finale, the unveiling of the YES 3 Grand Prize Winner, Team FutsalEx, from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM).

The Finalists of the YES Challenge were ushered in ala Celebrity style where they were accompanied by an entourage and bodyguards before being greeted by the sound of applause of the guests of the party.

Approximately, 180 invited guests attended the event including the YES Advisory Panel, corporate partners, sponsors, members of the media and students from various universities and colleges. Guests were greeted with an opening video of the YES programme followed by the YES 3 finalists' video presentations. CEO of MoneyTree Malaysia, Brandon Liew welcomed the guest with a brief speech.

Awards were given to acknowledge the efforts, dedication and commitment of the YES 3 finalists, Call21, FutsalEx, Go-Get-It and MKey. A short introductory video of the New Enterprise Exchange (NEXT) program, the latest innovative program from MoneyTree that teaches young adults on the IPO process and Investments was also showcased during the YES 3 Red Carpet Party.

The highlight of the night was the announcement of the YES 3 Grand Prize winner, Team FutsalEx, from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM - Shah Alam). The Grand Prize winner walked away with cash and prizes worth up to RM20,000.

Team FutsalEx from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) consisting of 4 members, Mohd Hafiz bin Mohamad Idris, Syed Qamarul Hikma bin Samat, Fatin Hanani Khairunnizam, Amirul Hafis won the challenge by impressing the judges with their idea of a web portal based "one-stop futsal centre" concept, which integrates futsal players, futsal centers and the futsal industry. Being the first one stop futsal centre, FutsalEx offers a whole new and fun system of playing futsal where 'Futsalers' can make online bookings.

Guests of the YES 3 Party also won Digital Cameras, Portable Hard Disks, Sony Speaker Systems and mystery prizes from the 3 lucky draw sessions held throughout the night. A 32" SONY TV was also given out as the Grand Lucky draw prize during the Red Carpet Party.
