GAITHERSBURG, MD, April 30, 2011 (Press-News.org) National Office Systems (NOS), the nation's leading provider of storage and information management systems, http://www.nosinc.com/index.php/solutions/high-density-shelving, has tapped Chris Montgomery to be General Manager of its Installation Department.
The addition of Montgomery to the NOS management team reflects an increased demand for NOS' shelving and storage systems and a boost to the firm's commitment to use recycled and ecologically sustainable materials in its installations.
Montgomery, who has extensive experience in construction, will oversee installation of high density and mobile shelving and customized storage and retrieval systems in government agencies, professional practices, companies and institutions throughout the country. Projects at military sites affected by BRAC have led the way to a significant increase in the demand for customized shelving and storage, he says.
"Chris is a great asset to NOS," says Joe Alvarez, NOS principal. "From working in the construction industry, he is used to managing all aspects of a project from supervising crews to handling relations with clients," he added. "His knowledge and experience with sustainable projects will help our clients use the right materials and enhance their LEED designations."
From its Montgomery County headquarters, NOS has helped companies, government agencies, professional practices and institutions improve productivity, reduce costs and save space for three decades. The company played a critical role in the 2009 LEED gold, silver and bronze designations awarded to one of its clients for using recycled materials in the installation of replacement shelving and for recycling the older units. In addition to its shelving and storage units, NOS is the nation's largest provider of automated storage and retrieval systems, biometric asset protection, radio frequency identification applications, and file-tracking and records-management software.
Before joining NOS, Montgomery owned his own construction firm, specializing in golf course residential communities. and he also worked in partnership with his father in land development and construction companies. He grew up in Montgomery County, graduated from Col. Zadok Magruder High School in Rockville and attended Montgomery College.
For more information or to ask about a complimentary storage assessment, contact NOS at 301-840-6264 or info@nosinc.com.
